Qhoros, known as the Gavelwyrm, is described in fan-compiled Valyrian religious traditions as a divine dragon-form governing law, oath-binding, and the enforcement of contractual order. Unlike deities associated with negotiation or diplomacy, Qhoros represents the codification and execution of law once terms are established. Within these frameworks, he is not a mediator but an arbiter, ensuring that agreements are upheld and violations are corrected through binding consequence.

The physical form attributed to Qhoros reflects this function. He is described as a colossal dragon with a wingspan of approximately 595 feet, his body composed of dense, charcoal-colored scales marked with etched sigil-lines across each plate. These markings are interpreted as representations of law itself—fixed, inscribed, and resistant to alteration. An ash-glass formation at his throat is described as a structural collar, often associated with the containment and release of his defining ability.

Qhoros’s vocalization is characterized as a sequence of percussive impacts, likened to repeated gavel strikes layered with a low, resonant chant. This sound is not described as a display of dominance, but as a formal declaration—marking judgment, closure, or enforcement. Within these traditions, the sound signals the transition from dispute to resolution.

His defining ability is referred to as Bondfire, a phenomenon associated with the stabilization and enforcement of legal states. When Qhoros is said to descend, systems tied to obligation and release are described as resolving without delay. Accounts include the immediate processing of manumission claims, the permanent closure of broken chains to prevent their reuse, and the spontaneous manifestation of inheritance markers identifying rightful succession. These effects are presented as systemic corrections rather than acts of destruction or coercion.

Qhoros is also associated with inscription. His claws are described as leaving permanent markings upon any surface they contact, interpreted as literal or symbolic records of judgment. These inscriptions are said to persist without degradation, reinforcing his domain over permanence and record. Within these traditions, law is not only spoken but fixed into form.

He is identified as the patron entity of Valyrian justiciars and formal tribunals within the Freehold. Legal proceedings, adjudications, and enforcement structures are frequently placed under his symbolic authority. His role is not to interpret intent, but to finalize outcome—ensuring that once a judgment is reached, it is neither avoided nor reversed without consequence.

Within the broader system of divine dragon forms, Qhoros occupies the role of enforcement and finality. Where Naeryssa governs agreement and Mantara governs safe passage, Qhoros governs obligation after the fact. As a Gavelwyrm, he represents the principle that law must not only exist, but endure—that agreements must bind, and that order requires consequence to remain intact.
