Draevomar, known as Forge-Heart, is described in fan-compiled Valyrian records as a foundational Embermaw-type dragon associated with the industrial rise of the Freehold. Though absent from confirmed maester accounts, he is consistently linked to House Rhaemion of Oros, a Valyrian family associated in extended lore with metallurgy and large-scale weapons production. Draevomar is presented as both a prototype for later Embermaw dragons and as the origin of the divine figure Draevos within certain Valyrian traditions.

Unlike conventional war dragons, Draevomar’s primary function was industrial rather than martial. He is described as possessing a wingspan estimated at approximately 520 feet and a physical structure suited to sustained heat output rather than prolonged aerial combat. His most notable trait was the ability to regulate the temperature of his flame with high precision, allowing it to be applied directly to metallurgical processes. This capability is credited, within these accounts, with enabling advances in Valyrian forging techniques, including the controlled working of high-grade metals used in weapons and armor.

Draevomar’s activity is placed during the later Ghiscari Wars, particularly the fourth and fifth conflicts, though he is not depicted as participating directly in battlefield engagements. Instead, his role is framed as logistical and industrial, supplying the expanding Valyrian war machine through the production of weapons at scale. His presence at the forge-halls of Oros is associated with what is described as the Birth of the Great Foundries, a period of intensified industrial output that supported Valyrian campaigns across multiple fronts.

The dragon was bonded to Maerys Rhaemion, referred to in these accounts as the Bellows-Lord, whose title reflects both status and function within the forging hierarchy. The relationship between rider and dragon is depicted as highly specialized, focused on coordination of flame output rather than traditional aerial command. This pairing is often cited as an example of non-combat dragon use within Valyrian society, emphasizing the adaptability of dragonkind beyond warfare.

Draevomar’s death is recorded as occurring at rest within the forge complex at Oros. According to these traditions, he died in his sleep above the foundries he had long served. His final exhalation is said to have superheated the chamber ceiling, fusing it into a glass-like dome. This structure is described as having been preserved as a shrine by House Rhaemion and later becoming a site of pilgrimage for Valyrian smiths and craftsmen.

Draevomar occupies a distinct position within dragon lore as a figure associated with production rather than destruction. Within fan-extended Valyrian frameworks, he represents the integration of dragons into industrial systems and the expansion of their utility beyond the battlefield. His legacy, if accepted, lies in the transformation of dragonfire from a weapon of conquest into a controlled force of creation, underpinning the material strength of the Valyrian Freehold.
