[FANFILL — Pyraethran Pantheon]

The supreme deity of the Valyrian pantheon, father of the Fourteen and the largest dragon ever to take the sky in any form, mortal or divine. In dragon shape, Balerion the Father appears as an Obsidian Colossus of vast scale — basalt-black plates, smoked-glass wing membranes, star-iron horn ridges, and a banked-magma glow that rolls from his throat between roars. His footfalls crack stone; his roar is a low-frequency anvil reverberation that echoes with the aftershock of falling masonry.

His signature divine power is Worldforge Oath-Fire: a flame that cannot burn the oathbound, that exposes perjury by refusing to consume honest witnesses, that seals charters into the very stone where it touches. Balerion is the god of beginnings and endings, of contracts written in fire, of the foundations of Valyrian civilization itself.

His mortal namesake Balerion the Black Dread (~720 ft) is reckoned in the Valyrian Bible as a deliberate echo of his form — the closest any mortal dragon ever came to the Father.
